EVents at Cafe Racer

We’re very excited that you’re interested or have booked a show at Café Racer! We pride ourselves on the support of all artists, genres, mediums etc. We want your performance to be successful and enjoyable for everyone. This is how it’s done at Café Racer:

Compensation

Café Racer does not compensate bands directly though we will assist you in ant way we can to make it work for you. These are the most common ways artists choose to present:

  • Free – Open to all, no cover.

  • Free/Donation - Open to all, no cover. But donation is encouraged (AKA Pass

    the Hat).

  • Pay What You Can – Usually a cover is determined but a pay what you can / sliding scale is available for those who can’t afford it.

  • Cover Charge – A standard door cover ($5-$10 seems to work best). You provide a door person to charge cover. Bands agree to the split and you manage pay out. Café Racer never takes a cut.

  • Ticketed – We create a Brown Paper Tickets event and manage your sales. We will provide with a sales report, guest list and a check for the amount sold. You may also want to have tickets available at the door. We recommend no more than 30-35 tickets for pre-sale and the rest available at the door.

Equipment

  • Yamaha MG12/4FX board. 6 channels with onboard effects processing.

  • Mackie FR.1400 1400W 4 Ohms bridged 2 channel power amp
